Meet the house band:
Marina Christopher, bass
Marina is an up and coming bassist in the Seattle area. A local girl through and through, she attended Mountlake Terrace High School. She has a Bachelor's of Music Performance from Central Washington University, where she studied with John Hamar. Marina played in the show band for a couple of cruise ships, supporting acts such as Yakov Smirnoff and Marty Allen. You can find her playing for many local performers such as Eugenie Jones, Jacqueline Tabor, Billy Brandt and Scarlet Parke.
She has been featured on the television show, Band in Seattle with her neo soul band, Marina and the Dreamboats. Marina currently teaches privately. Contact her for details.

Don Dieterich, drums
Don has performed in countless situations; playing for thousands at Benaroya Hall or the 5th Avenue Theater, playing at clubs, festivals and schools, and working with composers and bands in recording studios playing individual tracks, film scores and radio and television jingles. He has played with musicians as diverse as jazz legends Phil Woods and Eddie Daniels to Nashville country artist Chely Wright.
Don holds a Bachelor's in Music Education and a Masters in Music Performance from Penn State, and has been a professional free lance drummer and percussionist in Seattle since 1984. He is currently on the faculty at Shoreline Community College.

John Sanders, piano and accordion
John teaches the music theory courses and directs the jazz band at Edmonds Community College. As a pianist and arranger, John studied with legendary directors Dave Barduhn and John Moawad at Mount Hood Community College and Central Washington University. He continues his work as a writer and performer on piano, accordion, and various Latin instruments all around the Northwest.
Following a four-month sabbatical in Puerto Rico, John brought Salsa music to life on the Edmonds CC campus, organizing Salsa events and directing the college's Salsa band. John holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and Master of Music in composition, both from CWU.

Milo Petersen, guitar
Milo has been active in the Pacific Northwest jazz community since the late 70's after studying for 3 years at Western Washington University under Bill Cole, Scott Reeves, and Americole Biasini. Milo spent 4 years in New York City (1987-1991) leading trios and quartets and then returned to Seattle. In addition to playing with the wide array of amazing musicians in Seattle he has performed with some of the world's finest including: Gary Steele, Ron Eschete, Julian Priester, Joe Sample, Ernestine Anderson, Herb Ellis, Nancy King, Cedar Walton.
Milo also had the great fortune, thanks to saxophonist/composer Steve Griggs, of recording two CDs with master drummer Elvin Jones (Jones for Elvin vols.1 & 2 - Hip City Music). He currently teaches privately and at Seattle Central Community College.
